@EN The precent study was undertaken to estabilish the basic data of Ket : AKR/J mice for the development of disease animal model, For the basic data, animal growth and physiological paramaters were observed in the study such as body weight,
hematology,
blood & urine biochemicstry and reproductivity at 5, 10 and 18 weeks of age in both male and female Ktc : AKR/J mice. According to results, the weight of thymus gland was the heaviest on 5 weeks in both sexes and the score of reproductive
performance
was higher in AKR/J than DBA/2's and C57BL/6's. The results indicated that there was a significant increased number of WBC in Ktc : AKR/J mice compared to ICR and C57BL/6 mice. These finding suggests that Ktc : AKR/J mice strain bred in our
facility
might be a useful disease animal model of lukemia.
